Atlas Family Planning Carrier Screening (Couple)

Couples carrier screening for autosomal-recessive and X-linked conditions.

Carrier screening for both partners against autosomal-recessive and X-linked conditions. Each partner is either new to Atlas or already has Atlas Baseline; you choose this for each of you at checkout. One joint counselling session for both of you, and each partner gives their own consent. A partner who is new to Atlas receives a collection kit after their own consent; a partner who already has Atlas Baseline needs no new sample. Both genomes are read from PCR-free Atlas Baseline whole-genome data, including FMR1 repeat expansions (fragile X). Identifies couples at elevated risk of an affected child before conception. A flagged finding is confirmed by a second laboratory method before it is reported.

    Counselling slot

    You choose a counselling slot or join the waitlist.

  4. 04

    Consent, kit and result

    After the counselling you give your consent, then we ship your collection kit. The physician discusses the result with you.
